Canines and humans share a special bond. In fact, our relationship with dogs is closer than with any other animal on Earth. The dog, the eleventh of the twelve zodiac animals, has been viewed as a guardian overlooking the area and warding off evil spirits, in addition to being a life companion characterized by loyalty, affability, and courage.

Dogs in Our Lives: Companionship and Friendship is a special exhibition to celebrate the Year of Dog. Comprised of two sections ─“Dogs ad Guardians” and “Dogs as Companions” ─ the exhibition explores the traditional symbolism embodied in dogs and highlights diverse aspects of dogs, which are an integral part of our lives today.

With more than 5.9 million households in Korea caring for pets these days, the exhibition will surely offer an opportunity to enjoy the various stories related to our beloved companions. Moreover, we would like to wish all of our visitors a year filled with the bright, positive energy of dog companions.
