“JeJu Special Self-Governing Province” and “National Folk Museum” are presenting a special exhibition, which is a part of the project, “2007, the Year of Jeju Folk Culture”, to focus on life of Jeju native. “Heobeok and JeJu's Pottery”, the title of this special exhibition, are the unglazed earthenware which have been used in daily lives of Jeju Island, made under Jeju's unique environment. This exhibition will show how and why they have been produced and through which, the peculiarities of Jeju Island would be introduced. It will also provide a better understanding of Jeju culture and an opportunity to think about the earthenware in the context of Jeju folk art crafts.
