Korean Traditional Craftworks Exhibition is the representative traditional craftworks exhibition in Korea in which we can conceive the context of traces and activities of Korean traditional craftworks as cultural legacy. As craftworks are exhibited in 10 departments by each event and this year total 131 items were selected to be awarded and they are exhibited in National Folk Museum for 20days.

This year, ‘Three Story Wardrobe’ made by Yang Seog Joong was selected for the presidential award with honor and ‘Moon Pot’ made by Kim Kyung Sik for the award of Prime Minister, ‘Suwolgwaneumdo’ made by Heo Yun Hui for the award of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ‘Ssangguijaguigapbalmun’ made by Cho Suk Mi for No. 1 award of Cultural Assets Administration, ‘Nakhwasagyegoksudo’ made by Kim Yoo Jin for No. 2 award of Cultural Assets Administration, ‘Meorikjang (a single chest of drawer set at the bedside) made by Kim Hyung Chuel for the award of chairman of National Culture & Art Committee, “A Safe” made by Won Chun Soo for the award of Korean Culture Assets Protection Corporation, ‘Hyanggap Norigae’ made by Bae In Sook for the award of president of Korean Craftworks Design Culture Promotion Corporation, ‘Seungmu Drum’ made by Kim Gi Woong for the award of president of National Cultural Assets Committee, and ‘Jiseongjeongbyeong made by Hong Yeun Wha for the award of president of Korean Important Intangible Cultural Assets Function Preservation Corporation.

Korean Traditional Craftworks Exhibition hosted jointly by Cultural Assets Administration, Korean Important Intangible Cultural Assets Function Preservation Corporation, and National Folk Museum and it also hosted by Korean Important Intangible Cultural Assets Function Preservation Corporation and it will give you a memorable journey to the past where your can appreciate the life and elegance of our ancestors from the excellent cultural legacy.
